Code of conduct

Code of Conduct for North Irvine Water Polo Club:

1. Sportsmanship: We value and promote good sportsmanship both on and off the pool deck. Treat opponents, teammates, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect, demonstrating fairness, integrity, and grace in victory and defeat.

2. Respect: Show respect for oneself, teammates, coaches, officials, and the facilities we utilize. Treat others with dignity, inclusivity, and professionalism, fostering a positive and supportive environment for everyone involved.

3. Commitment: Demonstrate dedication and commitment to personal growth, skill development, and team success. Attend practices and competitions prepared, punctual, and ready to give your best effort.

4. Discipline: Uphold a high standard of discipline, both in training and in competition. Follow instructions from coaches, adhere to team rules, and maintain self-control in challenging situations.

5. Safety: Prioritize the safety and well-being of yourself and others. Follow all safety guidelines, use appropriate protective equipment, and report any safety concerns to coaches or club officials.

6. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with coaches, teammates, and club officials. Express concerns or issues in a respectful and constructive manner, promoting a culture of effective teamwork and collaboration.

7. Personal Conduct: Conduct oneself in a manner that reflects positively on the North Irvine Water Polo Club. Avoid engaging in behavior that is detrimental to the reputation of the club, including but not limited to, the use of inappropriate language, bullying, or any form of harassment.

8. Compliance: Abide by all club policies, rules, and regulations, as well as the rules and regulations set forth by the governing bodies of water polo. Uphold the principles of fair play and compete within the bounds of the established rules.

By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we uphold the values of the North Irvine Water Polo Club and contribute to a positive and respectful environment for all members.
